Water flosser

          WATER FLOSSER

A water flosser is a device that direct a stream of water to clean away any leftover plaque and food debris from teeth and gums

It's also called an oral irrigator or a dental water jet.

ADVANTAGES:

    1. Complementary to toothbrush's cleaning capability.
    2. Prevent and reduce inflammation and other dental diseases.
    3. It effectively reduces bacteria in spots like the gaps and the gum line.
    4. A water flosser can clean braces and teeth gently without damaging the braces or hurting the teeth.

DISADVANTAGES:

    1. For those who are currently struggling with severe symptoms of inflammation or loose teeth, we do not recommend using a water flosser to worsen the symptoms.
    2. It might be difficult for kids and elderly peoples.
    3. It does not remove all the debris so manual tooth brushing should not be stopped.

 WHAT IS SPACE MAINTAINER? :

It refers to an appliance designed to retain a given area/space generally in the primary & mixed dentition. To prevent closure of space after extracting the primary tooth, Space maintainers are to be used.

INDICATION FOR SPACE MAINTAINERS:

2. If the need for treatment of malocclusion at a later date is not indicated.
3. When the space for permanent tooth should be maintained for 2years or longer

5. To improve the physiology of a childs masticatory system & restore dental health optimally.

CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR SPACE MAINTAINERS:

1. If the space shows no signs of closing
