Retainers after orthodontic treatment.

IMPORTANCE OF RETAINERS AFTER
ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT

To correct the malaligned teeth and improper jaw positions, orthodontist will help to transform misaligned teeth and jaws into a healthy bite and beautiful smile.

After the orthodontic treatment is complete, wearing the retainer is must, so as to maintain the teeth in newly changed positions while gums and bone adapts.

Retainers prevent the teeth from going back to their original positions.

Retainers must be worn immediately after braces are removed and for full time, typically for first one year.

Retainers should be removed while eating and before teeth brushing.
Retainers must be cleaned before and after use.
