An old female patient, aged 56 years came to our clinic with pain in left upper cheek region and mild swelling under eyes & left cheek area, and also complains of continuous headaches.
She also complains of long term missing teeth in lower back teeth region on both sides and have difficulty in chewing food.
On intraoral examination -- there is severely infected root canal treated teeth in upper left back teeth region.
And root stumps in lower right back teeth region, and there is missing left back teeth.
As there is long term missing teeth on both sides, the bite got collapsed and the opposing tooth of right side got supraerupted(drifted towards missing teeth space) and because of this she had chronic headaches.
To correct the bite, we need to create space for replacing the missing teeth, so we advised to go for root canal treatment and crowns for opposing teeth in upper right side and advised re-root canal treatment and crowns for severely infected teeth in upper left side.
And advised removal of root stumps in lower right side, and replacement of lower right and left sides missing teeth with Implants followed by Zirconia crowns.
