ORAL HYGIENE MAINTANENCE

Oral health maintenance refers to daily care and periodic professional examination of your teeth and gums.
Your teeth and gums are given a tough job to do! They are used for eating, talking and for smiling.

ORAL HYGIENE MAINTANENCE:
1) Brushing:
   Brushing should be done twice daily.
      Choose the toothbrush that suits you the best.
          Change the toothbrush for every 3 months or when the bristles flare.

2) Flossing:
     
     Flossing removes the deposits in between your teeth.
           Flossing atleast once daily.




3) Mouthwashes:
   
      Mouthwashes prevents bad breath.
            It help to prevent cavities.
                    Ask your dentist to help you choose the right mouthwash for you.



4) Diet:
        
      Avoid eating sweets and sticky foods and acidic drinks.
         Eat foods that are rich in fibre.
               Eat more fruits and vegetables.
                      Drink plenty of water.
                           Rinse your mouth after every meal.



5) Stop bad habits:

  
      Avoid smoking, tobacco chewing.
                Avoid alcohol intake.




6) Dental visit:

        Visit your dentist regularly for every 6 months.
                Dental visit helps you to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
